These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Make This Better, a feedback widget and AI-assisted triage platform operated at makethisbetter.dev (the "Service") by MakeThisBetter.dev ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service lets you embed a feedback widget in your own website or product, collect structured feedback (including screenshots, DOM snapshots, console logs, and reporter details) from your end users, and triage that feedback with AI assistance on a dashboard and optional public feedback board hosted on a subdomain of makethisbetter.dev.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use.
You agree not to use the Service to:
You retain ownership of the feedback and other content submitted through your projects ("Customer Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Customer Content solely to provide and improve the Service to you, including sending it to AI providers for triage as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions to collect and share Customer Content, including any personal data of your end users, through the Service.
The Service uses AI models through our RunAPI proxy or the provider endpoint you configure under Bring Your Own Key to summarize, triage, and suggest actions on feedback. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing AI suggestions before acting on them; we do not guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated summary, label, or recommendation.
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees and any taxes. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. You may cancel or change your plan at any time from your account's billing settings; changes take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Anthropic and configured BYOK gateways (AI processing), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (storage), Postmark (email), and Sentry (monitoring). Your use of the Service is also subject to the availability and terms of these providers, which are outside of our control.
We own all right, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, design, and branding, excluding your Customer Content. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property to you except the limited right to use the Service as permitted here.
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where reasonably practicable.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or reliable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakeThisBetter.dev will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "last updated" date on this page, and where required, we will ask you to accept the new version before continuing to use the Service.
